not reliable, February 18, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: ATC Waterproof CREE XM-L T6 LED 4-Mode 1000-Lumen White LED Bike Light Headlamp with Battery Pack Set (Electronics) Good deal for the price. Lasts about 2.5 hrs at full power. Feels as bright as my NightRider Storm circa 2002.
The plug that connects the battery to the lamp needs more attention to detail since it gets loose every ~30 min (later I discovered it was the battery connection, not the plug, and it's a major point - see below), especially during running. When running the lamp faces too far down, the swivel needs more travel (minor issue compared to below). The manual needs a spell check (ditto).

This thing is clearly brighter than MagicShine's flagship spot. The beam pattern is great as a spot, the battery charges quickly and mounts securely, and all in all, the thing just works! If I could change one thing, it would be the width of the beam pattern to act as more of a flood, though the spot served its purpose.
