Basil Blossom Double Bike Panniers, November 11, 2010 By Joyce Renee Lewis (Everett, WA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Basil Blossom Double Bag, 17072, 35L, Petrol (Sports) While biking from Bruges to Amsterdam we (Pacific NW riders) were blown away by the design of the panniers used there. Maybe if you ride in a 'dry' climate these would not be so useful. I missed my opportunity to buy a set @ a street fair in Amsterdam & then couldn't find any I liked @ the bike shops I looked at. I also did not think about writing down the brand name so I could shop for some when I got home. But @ my local bike store I managed to find a set w/the brand name so I could do an internet search. These are the BEST (!) if you ride where it rains. Normally panniers come with a rain cover but that means you either have to put them on to begin with or stop & put them on if it starts to rain. That means you cannot access anything in your panniers w/o taking the cover completely off. Altho these bags are somewhat heavy the features offset that by the convenience. I might add my friend bought a set she didn't really like as well as these in Amsterdam thinking she would not be... Read more
